• The PRSI Dental Scheme. This allows patients who have PRSI entitlements to have a FREE dental examination once a year.

  • The Medical Card Scheme. This covers patients (over the age of 16) for one FREE dental examination per calendar year, two fillings, extractions and prescriptions for pain relief.

    • 14 – 16 Scheme. There is currently a dental scheme in Mayo that covers teenagers between the age of 14 and 16 for one course of routine dental treatment. For enquiries and eligibility contact the County Clinic in Castlebar on 094 9042250.

     

  • Dental Tax Relief (Med2 Form) There are a number of non-routine dental treatments that qualify for tax relief, such as orthodontics, bridges, post, crowns, veneers, root canal treatment, certain periodontal treatment, and surgical extraction of a wisdom tooth.
